Views of Love

Wow. The Lord speaks to us in so many ways, but wow. It's crazy when He speaks to you in ways that you least expect it...

I was out boating with my family today, and the views from the boat were absolutely breathtaking. The Lord tells us in Psalm 19:1 that "The Heavens declare the glory of God, and the skies proclaim the work of His hands." Jesus says in Psalm that He speaks through nature, and a lot of times, I'm too busy to stop and soak in all that The Lord tries to tell me. When I looked across the lake this afternoon, the trees stood what looked like only inches from the sky and the way the sky was filled with flat and swirly white clouds that moved oh so slowly gave me chills. The Lord uses His works and His beautiful wonders to pour out His love for us, and the way He does it brings me speechless.

God is good. He is the only person who will never get upset with you. He is the only person who will forgive you always. He is the only person who will be there for you when no one else is. He is the only person whose love is everlasting for eternity. I'm not perfect. I make mistakes. I have a list of flaws that could go on for forever. But The Lord doesn't not love me because I make mistakes, have flaws, or that I'm not perfect. He loves me and you no matter what! If you've messed up-went out with friends that you probably shouldn't have or watched a movie your parents probably wouldn't approve of, or just feel like The Lord is never going to forgive you or is never going to love you again..well guess what, He DOES love you and He will ALWAYS forgive us! Jesus' love for us is wider than the ocean and is ongoing for forever! He is our Heavenly Father, and we are His sons and His daughters!

"The Heavens declare the glory of God, and the skies proclaim the work of His hands."

| Psalm 19:1 |

So today, as I took in the most gorgeous view of Lake Martin I have ever seen, The Lord reminded me that He was right by my side and that He heard my prayers and He heard me when I called out to Him. And as I closed my eyes and allowed Lauren Daigle's song "Come Alive" to feed my soul, I embraced The Lord's love and allowed it to soothe my heart and calm my body. For the rest of the day, I was relaxed and at peace because I knew that The Lord was there and so was His love.

Tonight, I am so thankful for Lake Martin, and it's V I E W S | O F | L O V E.

In His love and mine,

Elizabeth
