it's time for you to do something

Man oh man what an absolute blessing it is to witness another sponsorship, another life being changed by someone who felt called to serve Him. What an absolute blessing it is to work alongside people who not only care so deeply for others but who care for our Jesus so deeply. What a blessing it is to attend Costa Rica and work in missions with Southside Church.

You too, have this precious opportunity. You have the precious opportunity of serving alongside some awesome people in a community far poorer than your own. It may not be Costa Rica, it could be another one of The Lord's Kingdoms, but you, my friend, have the opportunity to GO and make impacts on the lives of other people. So what's holding you back?

Is it fear? Is it not wanting to get too attached? Whatever it is that is holding your heart back from being apart of another child's life in another country, give it to Jesus. Every burden, every fear, give it all to Him because I can promise you, attending any mission trip comes with fear and sadness but its the most perfect fear and sadness you'll ever witness. Knowing you can leave with a new heart, a new heart built by the most perfect Grace and the most perfect Love wipes out any fear. You are delivering the word of Christ, making someone else feel loved and THAT is the absolute greatest gift we can ever give.

Have you attended a mission trip before but didn't really go with the right mind and heart? Maybe life got rough before you left and you struggled to get back on track and the mission trip didn't play out how you wanted it to. Guess what? You have hundreds of hurting places to choose from where you can go and remake your mark.

For some people, missions trips aren't for them so they choose alternate ways to serve Christ, and that is just as perfect. Soup kitchens, Operation Christmas Child, homeless shelters, etc.. all of those ways are just as impacting as attending a mission trip is; however, there is something about touching lives of people in their own homes, through giving your heart that is more special. There's something different about mission trips and if you have attended one, you know exactly what I am talking about. They touch your heart in the most incredible way and it is almost like Jesus is actually physically present when you attend one because of the overwhelmingly amount of love that surrounds you when you are one on one delivering the Word of Christ.

Whether its serving Jesus through community service or traveling across the world to be a vessel of His love, we should never stop serving Him. There are far more people who need our help than those who don't, and it is our turn to fill this world full of love. So whatever is stopping you from being apart of the change, don't let the enemy win and give it all to Jesus because right now, it's time for you to do something.
