Girls O N L Y.
This is a post for just my sisters in Christ. I mean, I love my brothers in Christ too, but sometimes it's good when it's just us girls ;)
I have been waiting to talk about today's post. It's a more serious talk, and it is about a topic we all get wrapped in (myself included) > Guys.
We want to feel loved, appreciated, beautiful, and worth something. We want attention from someone who will pay attention to us. We just want guys. It's not a bad thing- we're human- but it is also one of the enemy's favorite favorite things. It is really important that we know how to handle guys and that we know how to not let them get in the way of our relationship with Christ because when we do, our boyfriend is now more important than Jesus- someone who loves you way more than the guy you met a week ago.
This is sort of silly, but I see guys as fish. You never know what kind you're going to catch. You may catch a big one but then you cut it open to eat and you see that it's infected with something gross that you can't put in your body. Guys are the same way. They can look really great on the outside, but once you dig into their lives and get to know them, they are putting you down inside of building you up. It's hard to catch the perfect guy, but to be honest, that's a good thing!
Our "Good Guy" is Jesus! He is way better than any boyfriend. He doesn't get annoyed or upset with you when you say something stupid or want to hang out with other guy friends. He doesn't cry when you move to a new state, but instead, He gets excited for you because it's apart of His amazing plan! When our faith is bound in Jesus, He will provide our strength and will forever give us attention! We don't need guys to make us feel good or loved because Jesus provides us with everlasting love!
Next time you feel down, worthless, or not pretty enough, remember that The Lord has already won you! YOU are so abundantly loved, YOU have a Father who made you in His most perfect image, YOU are gorgeous, YOU have the most perfect guy already planned out for you, and don't forget, YOU are amazing.
Guys are NOT worth the time, the money, or anything else you think they are worth. Jesus IS worth every bit of your time, no matter what. Don't worry about which guys like you and which guys don't, because someone already loves YOU and has already WON you!
This someone is Jesus.
